New York based toucan sounds release joyous single from Brazilian duo Database, including a killer remix from Eli Escobar.

Having previously released music on labels such as Kitsuné and Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried Records, Database tap into their Brazilian roots with their latest single ‘Um Segredo’, bringing a slice of the country’s golden-age funk to the consistently impressive toucan sounds label.

‘Um Segredo’ channels the energy of Brazil’s finest 80’s acts such as Marcos Valle and Banda Black Rio, with its irresistible bassline, catchy vocals, and horn sections taking cues from the past whilst looking firmly into the future. Destined for hands in the air moments on the dancefloor, the duo have successfully crafted an utterly infectious single.

World-renowned DJ and producer Eli Escobar turns in an excellent remix, stripping down the original to the bone, expertly rebuilding it from the ground up.
