There’s no 123 without 4 in our beloved Speicher series. Robag Wruhme is back with two intense, low-slung monster tunes in his unique masterful fashion. “Fire” is destined to set your peak time dancefloor on fire with its killer bassline and trippy sequences. “Un-spok-en” is equally relentless and unfathomable, garnished with a haunting vocal snippet.
A prolific, beloved member of the German techno community, Weimar-based producer/DJ Gabor Schablitzki is known for his steadily paced yet unconventional productions, his eclectic full-lengths, and his adventurous mix sets. He achieved recognition during the 2000s for his bountiful output of original tracks and remixes under several names, most notably Robag Wruhme and Wighnomy Brothers (a partnership with Sören Bodner). As Wruhme, he demonstrated his versatility with his 2004 debut full-length, Wuzzelbud “KK,” which ventured from techno into hip-hop and IDM. Continuing to release ambient techno full-lengths such as 2019’s Venq Tolep and more club-primed singles, he’s also displayed his prowess on the decks with mixes such as 2021’s Connecting the Dot
Two rising stars in pin-sharp form, Chris Avantgarde and Kevin De Vries have linked for the first time to deliver the masterful ‘Mind Control’. The release marks Avantgarde’s maiden appearance on Drumcode, while this is De Vries’ second following up the excellent ‘Eternity’ on A-Sides Vol.5 way back in 2016.
Since then, De Vries has gone on to become a mainstay with Afterlife, playing their shows all over the world and releasing a string of quality weapons on the label, highlighted by his recent single, ‘Dance With Me’. Meanwhile, Avantgarde is a classically trained musician, who’s in hot demand for his skills composing music for films and video games, while also being drafted for an official remix of Billie Eilish, no less. More recently stepping into the techno space, he co-produced one of the year’s biggest melodic techno anthems ‘Consciousness’ with Anyma, one half of Tale of Us. The track was supported by Adam Beyer, leading to Avantgarde being square on the radar of the Drumcode boss.
‘Mind Control’ is a captivating synthesis of both artists’ musical identities; a stadium-sized slice of cinematic techno imbued with a dramatic sonic arc that makes it genuinely goose-bump inducing. “We wanted to create a song that combined both worlds, something both melodic that still felt club-centric and majestic with a storytelling quality throughout, but without being too high-brow,” Avantgarde shares. ‘Condition’ is the perfect accompaniment, a deft tool for DJs to play at any tempo.
Both tracks have been rinsed throughout the summer, with highlights including Amnesia, Loveland Festival and Awakenings.
Artist: Ludviq & Poulper Title: Cosmovision Label: Golden Soul Records Cat. #: GS083
Ludviq & Poulper join forces in this great “COSMOVISION” ep.
These two great South American artists from Mexico & Argentina, separately always show us the quality they have in the studio and when developing great beats to break any dancefloor, but together is already a magical and analogic blend.
A beautiful union of creative composers from which “COSMOVISION” is born, A single halfway between the darkest dance electronica and the new trendy organic down tempo, ideal to build sensations on the dancefloor.
Accompanying the original, the remixes are signed by Andrea Lacoste, Hoochie Coochie Papa, Aleito and the label boss James Rod, bringing different creative and evolutionary visions of the musical concept of these two great artists.
Jeremy Olander (known also for his own label Vivrant) after a few short featurings on important labels like Last Night On Earth and Anjunadeep will be hosted on the Berlin based Watergate Records with ‘Silius EP’. This release is a good three tracker that fluctuates into a round and lively deep house: the title track shows its nimble nature expecially in the main pause, when the main synth starts and just after the drop it indicates the right place this song needs to be played (obviously the dancefloor), while ‘Graincluster’ becomes audacious, suggesting reckless bravery but harmonious and placid.
Artist: Juliet Fox Title: Evolution Of Thinking Label: Drumcode Cat. #: DCR271
It’s been a while since Juliet Fox dropped heat on Drumcode, her last outing was in 2019 with the superb ‘Our Fantasy’ on A-Sides Vol.9. Since then, the Australian producer has launched her own imprint Tregambe and dropped a steady stream of strong EPs that showcase her powerful brand of late-night techno. Her contribution to A-Sides Vol.11, is ‘Evolution of Thinking’, a classy stream-of-consciousness jam, that reinforces her deft touch as crafting dreamy synthscape, while bringing plenty of tension and excitement to the dancefloor.
Artist: Tommy Farrow feat. Aziza Jaye Title: To Live Label: Armada Music Cat. #: ARMAS2380 Format: Digital Release Date: November 11th, 2022 Tracklist: 1. Extended Mix 2. Extended Dub Mix 3. Original Mix 4. Dub Mix
After a set of successful appearances on Stress Records, Shall Not Fade and Armada Music Elements, Tommy Farrow debuts on the main Armada imprint with the single ‘To Live’, a inspiring “melodic” techno production which features the unique and outstanding vocals by Aziza Jaye. The main loop avoid its redundancy thanks to simple but pleasant melodies given by a main synth, some piano chords and a surrounding pad, synths that backing for almost all the track duration.

Hot on the heels of his recent club smash, “The Attention Deficit Track,” Skreamreturns to CircoLoco Recordswith longtime collaborator Jansonsfor a breakbeat-fueled instant classic, “World Is Empty.”
Already selected as BBC Radio1’s Hottest Record this week, the track is centered around an irresistible sample from The Supremes above a driving electro bassline and nostalgic synth pads as it builds to an emotional vocal breakdown.
“In The Supremes’ ‘My World Is Empty Without You’ Diana Ross bares her soul, speaking to the emptiness of the world without the people we love most.” Skream explains. “Those lyrics, vocals, and that feeling we all know of love and loss is something that resonated deeply with me.I kept those chords in mind for about two years before I could find the right style and track, but it only took one session with Jansons and an 808 to make it happen and bring World Is Empty together.”
Jansons adds “Myself and Skream had some wicked studio sessions making this one. He showed me the original idea which I was immediately digging – the chords and vocals were on-point but I wanted to flip it on its head. We were bouncing loads of ideas around the studio but this one really stuck. Initially this was made for the dance-floor so the wider reaction has been amazing!”
Building on his storied career as an electronic and dubstep pioneer, “World is Empty” follows The Attention DeficitEP, also released on CircoLoco Records, alongside recent remixes and releases with names ranging from Solomun to Boys Noize.
The new collaboration between Skream andJansons marks the seventh release from CircoLoco Records, the pioneering partnership between CircoLocoand Rockstar Gamesdedicated to both brands’ longstanding mission to champion and elevate underground dance music and club culture.
