Title: I Feel Everything
Remixer: Melchior Productions, Rhadoo
Label: Invade Records
Cat. #: INV018
Format: Vinyl & Digital
Release Date: 1st May 2020
Tracklist:

  1. I Feel Everything (Original Mix)
  2. I Feel Everything (Melchior Productions Rio De Janeiro Mix)
  3. I Feel Everything (Rhadoo Remix)

Ilario Liburni serves up some classy reductionist house sounds on his own Invade Records, while remixes come from heavyweights Rhadoo and Melchior Productions.

Belgium based producer, Ilario Liburni knows how to get maximum feeling and atmosphere out of his sounds. His prolific and always on point output since 2012 has proved that releasing on labels such as Cardinal, Memoria and his Invade Records imprint.

The superb original single, ‘I Feel Everything’ is perfectly distilled minimal house, with dubbed-out drums rolling through enveloping sub-bass. Wistful synths are buried deep in the mix, and neon chords and woozy pads add a sense of late-night colour and cool to the groove.

First to remix is cult favourite Melchior Productions, who has put out several essential releases on Perlon and Playhouse and very much defined his own minimal aesthetic. His version is airy, hypnotic, and supremely smooth with the drum loops and spoken words wrapping around each other in perfect harmony.

Master Romanian minimalist Rhadoo has long been a critically acclaimed sonic craftsman. His remix is filled with glistening hi-hats and singing bass that bounds about beneath sustained and melancholic chords. It’s roomy and atmospheric and sure to go down a storm with the connoisseurs.

Tamer Malki & Rami Abousabe formed as Bedouin in 2012 and have since established themselves as two of the most vital names in melodic house music. As producers their mesmerising instrument-driven cuts have arrived on top tier labels like Crosstown Rebels, All Day I Dream and Supernature. Meanwhile, as performers they continue to headline clubs and play at festivals across the globe, such as sets at the legendary Burning Man, Coachella, Extrema Outdoor Belgium, III Points, Kappa Futur Festival and Tomorrowland, while helming their own Ibiza residency at Pacha named SAGA, getting ready for their 4th season, which has gone on to become a renowned worldwide event series.

Human By Default is their highly anticipated label which the pair now launch with three of their own original cuts. ‘Whistleman’ opens with smooth keys, shimmering percussion, a warming bassline and gorgeously delicate vocals that send the senses into aural bliss.

‘Firefly’ swings with marimba samples, churning shakers and bubbly synth patterns until ‘Voodoo’ rumbles with Afro-Cuban drums, exciting vocal work, Santur like pads and rolling electric stabs. Finally, multifaceted musician and producer Pablo Fierro provides his signature rhythm and shuffle to the ‘Whistleman’ original with claves, rattling snares and a euphorically charged break.

Celebrating the launch of Human By Default, Bedouin will perform alongside special guests during Miami Music Week with a showcase at The Beach Club on 19th March.

Various ‘Visions 01 – Cleric’

Artist: Various
Tracks by: Rebekah, Slam, Sleeparchive and more
Title: Visions 01 – Cleric
Label: Clergy
Cat. #: CRG020
Release Date: 10.04.2020

To celebrate hitting their 20th release, Cleric’s imprint pulls together 23 talents for an essential various artist compilation including tracks from the likes of Rebekah, Cleric, Stef Mendesidis, Remco Beekwilder & Stranger, Endlec, Kwartz, Setaoc Mass, Roman Poncet, Slam and many more.

Clergy has become synonymous with a balance of atmospheric and hard hitting brand of techno ever since 2014. The boss’s own music has been key to that, with carefully curated releases from guests such as Dax J, Kwartz, Reflec and Cleric himself. Helping to make the label an underground favourite. ‘Clergy Visions 01’ sees Cleric invite an array on techno heavyweights to contribute to this compilation that’s mixed by the label boss himself.

Things open up with the bleak ambience and fizzing electric cables of Jokasti & Nek’s ‘Grained’ then Sept’s ‘Artifical’ lays down a tunnelling techno groove that immediately locks you in. The mysterious alias, Reizemann heads off to a cosmic realm with its deep space pads slowly building the momentum throughout the drums. The energy levels then stay high throughout tracks from Roman Poncet, Kwartz and Setaoc Mass, then leading onto the groove of Stef Mendesidis.

Testament to Cleric’s skills as a DJ and sequencer is the fact this journey is constantly evolving while remaining coherent. A mid- section featuring the likes of Endlec, Sleeparchive and EAS keeps you on your toes with perfectly stripped back but hard dynamic drum programming and intense melody work. Remco Beekwilder & Stranger bring a more hard hitting and industrial style before Slam calm the fires once more allowing you to sink into a smooth, elongated roller. It’s left to the dystopian darkness of Rebekah and atmospheric techno brilliance of Lerias to close out this most adventurous mix in real style.

Blossoming Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Luuk van Dijk has been gaining a rising-reputation via his infectious underground productions over the past few years, with releases to date via the likes of Solid Grooves, Eastenderz, Oblack, Do Not Sleep and Hot Creations to name just a few. Midnight Music Club ‘Premisession’

Artist: Midnight Music Club
Title: Premisession
Remixer: Private Guy
Label: Kajunga
Cat. #: KAJUNGA006
Format : vinyl, digital
Release Date: 10th April 2020
Tracklist
:
1. Calling Card
2. A New Day
3. Five AM
4. A New Day (Private Guy remix)

Minneapolis label Kajunga welcomes local mainstay Craig Lambert aka DJ Focus aka Midnight Music Club for an EP that pays homage to his home scene and includes a remix from label co-founder Private Guy.

Midnight Music Club has been collecting records for over 40 years, sharing them passionately for nearly 30 and studying music production for 20. This live artist’s timeless yet distinctly old school sound is reminiscent of early Chicago and Detroit pioneers, with a blend of deep house and techno that is uniquely his own. He has released on Chicago’s Descendants of the Deep label, as well as Headphoniq and his own self titled outlet. His ‘Premisession’ EP is an ode to the pivotal but now defunct Minneapolis warehouse venue Premises, which he himself founded and which hosted Kajunga’s first-ever all-night party.

The EP showcases MMC’s hardware fluency right from the off: the fantastic ‘Calling Card’ creates a welcome invitation to the record with sensual synth lines paired with the drive of undulating tom rhythms that echoes the best of US house music. The sensuous ‘A New Day’ evokes the feeling of a deep acid soiree with rich emotion and improvisational elegance resonating throughout the track. The warm, meditative ‘Five A.M.’ starts with a spring-time air before blooming into a Sunday morning daydream that you won’t want to break. Remixer Private Guy is a purveyor of all things deep and seals the deal by providing a more moody take on ‘A New Day,’ with melodies weaving through playful percussion to great effect.

This essential EP celebrates the greatness of the Minneapolis scene while providing plenty of quality dance floor moments.

5. Setting Sun (VONDA7’s Flying on Cloud 7 remix)

James Solace, otherwise known as UK house stalwart, Burnski, delivers a bumper packed EP for Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two imprint, inviting a host of remixers, namely Jansons, East End Dubs, and VONDA7, to the party!
