Mexico City-based producer, Louie Fresco, delivers a bumpin’ sophomore EP on Music is 4 Lovers.

The title track, Still Drippin’, comes in hot from the get-go, with a driving bassline and catchy vocals from Hector Moralez. Followed by b-side tune, This Must Be Deep, a deep, flowing groove, perfect for any dark dance floor. The EP rounds out with two up-beat, minimal house remixes of Still Drippin’, one from Spanish hotshot, Hanfry Martinez, and the second by fellow Mexican and longtime friend of MI4L, Miguel Puente.

Berlin (DE) based Vincent Marlice debuts on Poesie Musik with ‘Aragonite’, a beautiful track that carries a high emotive level: thanks to the large usage of synths and arpeggios it creates a nice atmosphere all over its duration; also some vocal samples and a piano chord elevates the song potential. Dan Buri gets features on the release with his interpretation of the title track, rearranging intelligently the drum loops but without loosing the energy and the vibe of the original.

An exciting name set for a big 2021, California-born, London-based talent MADVILLA has emerged as a surging name since his arrival onto the UK and global house scene early last year. Following a busy twelve months which included fresh music on his own Hot Wings imprint alongside material on Seb Zito’s Seven Dials Records, Desert Hearts Records and CUFF, February welcomes the arrival of a new label to the catalogue as he debuts on ANOTR’s No Art imprint with his ‘Lipid’ EP, with Cyclic Records boss Mihai Popoviciu stepping up on remix duties.

Lead cut ‘Lipid’ showcases a classy blend of classic house tones amongst more modern influences as shuffling percussion meets wandering synths and warped vocal samples. Next, ‘Sucka’ welcomes a lively combination of snaking hats, resonant bass licks and swirling pads to offer up an infectious peak-time offering, whilst the shimmering ‘Ion Care’ welcomes further energy as two-step drum patterns go to work beneath sharp lasers and deeper melodies. To close, the always excellent Popoviciu reveals his take on the lead cut, stripping things back and layering dubby arrangements and rolling grooves to shape up proceedings in fine fashion.

Westseven’s imprint Soul De Anima is ready to put out a small remix package of ‘Go Right Through’, a song composed by the label manager and the vocalist Angus Powell.
The release features two interpretations of Sound Quelle and Gullen, who go really into the groove with an outstanding sound setup. Sound Quelle stays really in line with the main theme, enhancing as its best the progressive house style, while on the other side Gullen interfaces the original’s influence with a deep and organic deep house instrumental.
