PACK SHOT Kohib - Golden Skies (Henrik Villard Remix) - Beatservice

Kohib ‘Golden Skies (Henrik Villard Remix)’

Artist: Kohib
Title: Golden Skies (Henrik Villard Remix)
Label: Beatservice
Cat. #: BS250-5
Format: Digital
Release Date: 29th April 2022

Feel-good Oslo house mainstay Henrik Villard returns to Beatservice with a dazzling new remix of Kohib’s track, ‘Golden Skies’.

Featuring the powerful vocals of Lydia Waits gliding over icy pads and subterranean bass, the hypnotic original version of ‘Golden Skies’ was the latest in a long line of recent successes for Kohib. As such, the label felt it ripe for a remix so looked to rising star Henrik Villard for a unique interpretation.

Emerging talent Villard is forging a fine reputation for his tight, house-flavored productions. From deep, heads-down grooves to stirring club house, he can do it all. The Oslo-based DJ and producer has released on labels including Mhost Likely, The Basement Discos, and House Cookin’ Records among many others.

Here he builds on the bittersweet quality of Waits’ yearning vocal and adds his own dreamy chords, atmospheric pads and thick, club-ready bass. Weaving in and out for the duration is scintillating instrumentation while the slick drum groove takes the track ever deeper into the dance floor.

This club-ready remix breathes new life into an already bewitching track while further cementing Villard’s reputation as an artist to watch in 2022.

Just after two months from the previous release Low Battery is set to add another EP in its catalogue, that’s ‘Full Of Light EP’ made by none than less than FFF, a Netherland based artist really into drum n bass. The songs of his brand new release sound really oldschool, the drum loops introduced are the classic ones and this thing immediately catches the attention, however it seems being in a suspended time, where nobody and nothing else in the world can interfere with ourselves.

Each Summer for the past eleven years, All Day I Dream’s Summer season has helped forge beautiful memories that last a lifetime. Forty cities, hundreds of parties, and countless miles later, the eponymous daytime brand has crafted both a legacy as well as a worldwide musical movement.

Lee Burridge’s record label, artists and wanderlust events forge the way that many others follow. Infused with beautifully infectious energy and fun at its core, the events, the production, and the music take you someplace otherworldly.

After a rapturous return last summer, ADID welcomes “Dreamers” new and seasoned to gather together once again and make their very particular magic happen – especially when the sun sinks into the horizon and dusk dissolves into night.

Returning to acclaimed residencies on the idyllic shores of Mykonos and Ibiza, Lee and his label compatriots will be found taking over world renown clubs Scorpios and Cova Santa most Thursdays throughout Summer. If that’s not exotic enough for you, the daytime to evening soiree will host a new event at Kiki’s Beach on the North Coast of Egypt amidst white sand beaches and blue sky days complimenting the party experience perfectly. European adventures this Summer also include a return to their epic London extravaganza at Studio 338, as well as their annual party during Sonar week in Barcelona.

Chasing the sun West, All Day I Dream changes things up this year by commencing its USA season with its first ever multi-day festival. On May 12-15, The All Day I Dream Festival camps out in the idyllic surroundings of California’s Woodward Reservoir in Oakdale, California. For the festival’s inaugural lineup, Lee Burridge brings together over thirty five members of the ADID family from around the world as well as live acts and bands such as Little Dragon, RY X, Cubicolor, Jan Blomqvist and Gheist. An eclectic mix of brilliant music set in a serene natural pocket of nature.

Following the festival, ADID returns to its spiritual birthplace of Brooklyn, NY for the first of two blistering events at Brooklyn Mirage. After a sell out show breaking all attendance records last year, this event is one not to be missed. North America loves All Day I Dream and the rest of summertime is highlighted by stops at Toronto’s Fort York, Denver’s Levitt Pavilion, a Chicago takeover at a venue to be named later on, and Montreal’s Off-Piknic event.

We hope you can join All Day I Dream for an experience that’s set to be our biggest and most fun and memorable Summer ever.

Title: Instant Transmission
Label: Manjumasi
Cat. #: MAMAV005
Format: Vinyl only
Release Date: April 27th 2022
Tracklist:
A1. Instant Transmission

B1. Salvation (Original Mix)
B2. Salvation (Christopher Ledger Remix)

atish (Manjumasi label founder) meets Vridian for the creation of ‘Instant Transmission’, that’s the fifth vinyl only release to be published soon on Manjumasi. The EP shows two distinctive faces, each one representing a pleasant journey into both the artist’s mind. Vinyl’s A side is focused on four to the floor rhythm structures, with a style quite bizarre: the synth sounds reflect a dark atmosphere and an underground vibe. As opposite, on the flip the song ‘Salvation’ and the Christopher Ledger’s remix explore a mixture between contemporary progressive/deep house and breakbeat, heading over a warmer and brighter sound.

NoSleep22 - DJ Bone - EXIT Photo Team

NO SLEEP FESTIVAL completed its comeback edition with 15,000 Fans!

The third edition of No Sleep, still officially the Best New Festival in Europe, held last weekend at several locations in Belgrade, was a smashing success. In a year when the world music industry is returning in full force after a two-year break, the festival produced by the EXIT team once again showed that Belgrade could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with cities known for their clubbing scenes, such as London, Berlin, or Amsterdam.

The festival’s comeback edition, this time set in the spring, was marked by the performances of some of the top acts in the world of electronic music, such as techno superstar Nina Kraviz, virtuoso composer Stephan Bodzin and rising stars Agents of Time, but also absolute DJing legends such as DVS1, DJ Bone, Sebastian Leger, and DJ Tennis. The undoubted quality of the local scene has been proven once again by Tijana T, Kristijan Molnar, Dejan Milićević, Monosaccharide, Layzie, and dozens of others in clubs throughout Belgrade.

This weekend, the internationally acclaimed Drugstore Club, worked at its maximum capacity, hosting four separate events during the festival, from sold-out hip-hop gigs to after-parties with performers from Germany, South Africa, France, and Turkey. The clubs 20/44, half, Ben Akiba, Dot, and the colossal Silos, were also packed, delighting many visitors from all over Europe, Asia, South America, and even India. For many, this was the third time here!

In addition to the central music programme, the now traditional No Sleep Conference contributed to the 48 hours of uninterrupted fun, gathering many visitors and speakers over the two days. Among the wide range of relevant topics, special attention was paid to the impact of the pandemic and social distancing on the mental health of young people and the global reaction to the so-called “cancel” culture. New possibilities regarding NFT technology in art were also presented, while the panel EXIT the Metaverse gained the most interest, announcing exciting innovations in the festival industry.

Festival founder Dušan Kovačević said EXIT was entering the Metaverse to defend and preserve live experiences.

Our NFT collection will be inspired by and linked to some of the best experiences at and around the festival. We deeply believe that the experiences in the new universe must not be a replacement, but only a supplement to the existing one,” he added.

Jovan Tišma, one of the founders of the SolSea platform and All Art project, emphasised the importance of this step for the festival: “I am glad that EXIT has stepped into this world early and that we can experiment, discover, and explore together.”

After the atypical spring slot, the new edition of the No Sleep Festival will return this fall in its regular November term, and fans will soon be able to sign up for early tickets at the best price. The organisers are also announcing various novelties compared to the previous iterations of the festival.

With this, the EXIT team has kicked off its calendar of events for this year, in which centre stage is taken by the EXIT Festival at the Petrovaradin Fortress from July 7th to 10th, with a line-up led by Calvin Harris, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Iggy Azalea and hundreds of others. EXIT will be preceded by Sea Star on May 27th and 28th in Umag, while the end of August and September will be marked by two events in Montenegro — Sea Dance and Ada Divine Awakening.
