Cixxx J ‘Feed Mode’

Artist: Cixxx J
Titel: Feed Mode
Label: Bosconi Kicks
Cat. #: bosconi047w

Bosconi welcomes Cosimo D’Amicis aka Cixxx J with his first EP on tuscany’s finest imprint.
The artist explains here the essential meaning of the release with his own words:
“Music gives people the gift of connection by making people mirror into each other. Here the recipe is simple: feed your sequencers all the feelings, and let them become grooves you can dance to. These four psycho- synthetic streams are deeply rooted in italo disco classics, and filtered through that whole culture that originated in Chicago and Detroit and that keeps un-becoming. All the ingredients are carefully selected to bring you to another dimension, because there is no such thing as glorious as love at first BITE”

DJ T-1000 ‘The Dirrty Underground EP’

Artist: DJ T-1000
Title: The Dirrty Underground EP
Label: BPitch
Cat. #: BPX014
Format: 12″
Release Date: Oct 8, 2021

Detroit selector, producer and label owner (Pure Sonik Records) DJ T-1000 lands once again on BPitch Berlin with ‘The Dirrty Underground EP’, a dirty, percussive and pounding back-to-basics techno 4-tracker.

DJ T-1000 a.k.a Alan Oldham is a central figure in techno history. Detroit born and based in Berlin, he began his career in the early 90s with Underground Resistance, and is a prolific producer whose music has appeared on many labels including BPitch and Tresor. Behind the scenes, he runs legendary Detroit labels like Generator, Pure Sonik and Detroitrocketscience, and also works as a graphic artist and illustrator, producing iconic cover and merch artworks for Djax-Up-Beats, +8, Transmat and many more.

On ‘The Dirrty Underground EP’ Oldham utilises the timeless techno fundamentals – pummeling hardware percussion, tight loops, and chopped humorous samples, resulting in tracks quite different from his usual fare. ‘Clitfuck’ and ‘Think You Can Handle It’ are a pair of fast and loose hardware jams inspired by Ellen Allien’s recent sets. As the name implies ‘I Love It In My Acid’ is a murky, tunneling acid weapon, and ‘I Fucking Love Berlin’, with its raw, sleazy groove, pays fitting homage to the Detroit-Berlin axis.

Vince Watson ‘DnA [re]Sequenced’

Artist: Vince Watson
Title: DnA [re]Sequenced
Label: Everysoul Audio
Cat. #: ESOL019
Format: 12” 2xVinyl LP / Digital
Release Date: November 1st 2021
Tracklist:
1. Holographic [Carl Craig’s Ride or Die Anthem] 2. [Re]Evolution [Jon Dixon Remix] 3. Second Wave [Steve Rachmad Remix] 4. Universal Language [Claude Young Remix] 5. Immersion [Stephen Brown Remix] 6. Second Wave [John Beltran’s Pan Am Remix] 7. Second Wave [Stephen Lopkin Remix] 8. Metamorphosis [Shawn Rudiman Remix]

2021 has been a monster year for Vince Watson with releases on Get Physical, Tronic, SushiTech, All Day I Dream, his own Everysoul Audio and a host of remixes.

But now Vince ends the year and takes things up a notch to bring his label’s biggest and most adventurous release to date: ‘DnA [re]Sequenced’.

After the massive response and high sales of his 18 track ‘DnA’ album in 2019, Vince had a vision of having some of the tracks remixed by his favourite Detroit ‘flavoured’ artists from the 3 places that musically have made it all possible for him: Scotland, Amsterdam, Detroit.

So it is with great pleasure that Everysoul can announce remixes by none other than Carl Craig, Claude Young, John Beltran, Jon Dixon, Shawn Rudiman, Stephen Lopkin, Steve Rachmad and Stephen Brown.

Planet E boss Carl Craig is no stranger to Vince’s work, having released 4 of his singles on Planet E and previously remixing his track ‘It’s Not Over’. His remix of ‘Holographic’ takes the heavy synth lines into typical C2 remix territory, building and building with layers into a crescendo.

Jon Dixon may be one of Detroit’s rising stars as a solo artist, but as a band member of Underground Resistance and Timeline, he plays with some of the best Detroit Techno groups around: Galaxy2Galaxy and is a classically trained pianist. Jon’s releases over the last few years now showcase his personal styles and Vince was desperate to work with him, with a keen respect for his musicianship. His Remix of [Re]Evolution takes the motor city sound of the original and tightens things up for a really slick jazzy groove.

John Beltran has been one of Vince’s favourite producers for over 25 years and his Pan Am remix is a journey of blissful Beltran fusion styles.

Claude Young takes his remix into a completely new and different direction, moving from the Electro of the original into an experimental masterpiece, respecting the tricky chord programming of the original and adapting into sounds that only Claude Young is able to extract.

Steve Rachmad is one of Vince’s closest allies in Amsterdam and having worked together on many projects over the years, Steve was the first name on the list. His 4/4 edition of Second Wave

takes the deep Detroit chords and harmonies into a much darker and groovier direction, with early Transmat character and the funk that Steve Rachmad is known for.

Shawn Rudiman’s remix is a no-nonsense straight to the floor banger, taking all the elements of the original into a much more streamlined and live improv version for the floor rather than the head.

Stephen Lopkin is one of Vince’s favourite Scottish producers and his remix takes the original into his own unique style and identity. The original had very unique chord progressions and timing and Lopkin was able to successfully extend this to make it even more complex but with a seamless flow that keeps the groove flowing.

Stephen Brown is also a top Scottish producer who Vince has been supporting and spinning for over 20 years, and his remix of Immersion removes the fluffy jazzy elements from the original and opts directly for the dancefloor, taking Immersion into new territory.

‘DnA [re]Sequenced is a monster of an album that does not come along very often, with such heavyweights all on board and is certain to get the attention it richly deserves.

2022 will see more DnA [re]Sequences from more established artists, as well as new Detroit material from Vince.

Sota heads to Up The Stuss as the Berlin-based talent drops his ‘Pelican Club’ EP.

A rising artist at the heart of Berlin’s rich house scene, Amsterdam-born DJ and producer Sota looks set to continue his sharp upwards trajectory as a name to know and watch. Welcoming four intelligent, expansive cuts combining slinking low-end grooves, sci-fi electronics, and sweeping interludes, the Dutchman’s ‘Pelican Club’ EP showcases his take on house music for the early morning hours as he touches down on Up The Stuss for the label’s sixth release.

Title cut ‘Pelican Club’ opens the EP with authority as the Dutchman lays down a killer snaking groove line accented by chunky kicks and spiralling electronics, while ‘Serial Position’ showcases a medley of tight percussive grooves alongside bouncy, zipping synth work and airy chords. On the flip, ‘Technicolour’ lays the focus on the drums and synths as wriggling lead lines meet crisp drum licks, before wrapping things up with the sweeping melodies and rolling electronic funk of final offering ‘No Such Thing’.

B2 – Fireflies (V.i.c.a.r.i Remix 2) (Digital Only)

A stalwart, and in the true sense of the word (as well as being one of the nicest people you could hope to meet on a night out), Al Bradley has been obsessed with House Music from the moment he stepped through the doors of the seminal Hacienda night club in Manchester in the summer of 1989.

It’s an obsession that’s lead him down a long and winding road, including 18 years and counting as a label boss, allowed him to feature on nearly 100 releases as well as celebrated residencies for powerhouses like Fabric London, Bugged Out Manchester and Pioneer DJ Radio. Being the kind of guy Al Bradley is though, he’s still also made time to kick it with the younger cats at spots like Stereosleaze (London) and Lip Service and Deadbeat Disco in his adopted hometown of Leeds.

We’re genuinely over the moon to bring you this EP, and as such, we’ve complimented the originals with what we feel are some pretty dandy remixes, spread across both the Vinyl and Digital releases, coming from the likes of self-proclaimed “product of a mis-spent mancunion youth” Danny “Moodymanc” Ward, the vinyl enthusiast’s favourite Tommy “Vicari Jnr” and the ever evolving genius of Colour Series Label Boss “Jem Haynes”

From here on in we always feel the most appropriate thing, is to let the music do the rest of the talking!

Vince Watson ‘DnA [re]Sequenced Sampler’

Artist: Vince Watson
Title: DnA [re]Sequenced Sampler
Label: Everysoul Audio
Cat. #: ESOL020
Format: Digital
Release Date: October 8, 2021

2021 has been a monster year for Vince Watson with releases on Get Physical, Tronic, SushiTech, All Day I Dream, his own Everysoul Audio and a host of remixes.

But now Vince ends the year and takes things up a notch to bring his label’s biggest and most adventurous release to date : ‘DnA [re]Sequenced’ and on this we present the [re]Sequenced Sampler – 3 brand new mixes from the DnA album by Vince himself, as a taster for the album being released next month, which features Carl Craig, Claude Young, Jon Dixon, Steve Rachmad, John Beltran, Shawn Rudiman, Stephen Lopkina nd Stephen Brown.

After the massive response and high sales of his 18 track ‘DnA’ album in 2019, Vince had a vision of having the some of the tracks remixed by his favourite Detroit ‘flavoured’ artists from the three places that musically have made it all possible for him: Scotland, Amsterdam, Detroit.

‘Universal Language’ departs the original’s electro territory and heads for the dancefloor in a smooth house version destined to be in the playlists of Detroit heads who like grooves and melodies just the way Detroit House can deliver.

‘First Wave’ goes in the opposite direction, taking the hi-tech sounds of Gratiot Avenue and heading into electro territory, creating a fusion just as powerful as the original track with its jazzy hats and futuristic sounds.

Finally, ‘Fourth Wave’ goes into sci-fi space territory and takes the original track into the mysterious wall of sound that Vince has been known to make for many years, with multiple synth lines to keep you hearing new things with each listen.

A stellar taste of what’s to come.

‘DnA [re]Sequenced is a monster of an album that does not come along very often, with such heavyweights all on board and is certain to get the attention is richly deserves.

2022 will see more DnA [re]Sequences from more established artists, as well as new Detroit material from Vince.
