Rosa Anschütz’s unveils ‘Sold Out’, the second single from her forthcoming LP ‘Goldener Strom’ on BPitch
As we step closer to the arrival of Rosa Anschütz’s debut LP ‘Goldener Strom’ on BPitch, in comes the second single ‘Sold Out’ – a scintillating demonstration of her vocal range and production capabilities.
‘Sold Out’ features a delicate, beatless soundscape that gives Rosa’s vocals the space to breathe, amplifying the emotive quality of her wistful delivery. A solitary drum appears towards the second half of the track, with a flute adding depth. Gradually the instrumental grows in stature to envelop the vocals, the layers intertwining to create a heartrending piece of music.
UK techno stalwart Fossil Archive, aka Roberto, readies ‘Motionless EP’ this February.
Following his acclaimed debut album ‘Tungsten’ on Kneaded Pains in 2021, London based DJ/producer Fossil Archive, aka Roberto, returns for 2022 with ‘Motionless EP’, further showcasing his knack for crafting high quality and emotionally charged techno.
Leading the release, the peak time ‘Motionless’ combines pounding kicks and evolving synths alongside rousing drums to kick off the EP in strident style, followed by ‘Schwer’, an intense and highly hypnotic track peppered with glistening pads and shuffling percussion. ‘Trench’ dives deeper, heading for dark and twisted spaces with winding leads, trippy FX, and reverberating drums, before ‘601 Electro’, a dreamy cut comprising classic drum kits, oscillating tones, and rumbling low end closes out the release.
Founded by Roberto in 2015, the Fossil Archive label has released music by artists such as Voiski, DJ Rolando, Sterac aka Steve Rachmad, Roman Lindau, Robert Owens, and many more, including Roberto himself. As a DJ, Roberto has played at the likes of fabric, Tresor, Berghain and more.

“Luke Slater has always been one of my favourites. From his early work in the ’90s through to his incredible Mote-Evolver label, it’s always great to hear what Luke’s working on and it’s a pleasure to have him remix the release that relaunched my CLR label. Artist: Radio Slave Title: Stay Out All Night (Remixes) Remixer: Carl Cox, Commix, KUSP Label: Rekids Release Date: 25th February 2022 Cat. #: REKIDS197 Format: Vinyl / Digital Tracklist: 01 Stay Out All Night (Carl Cox Remix) 02 Stay Out All Night (Commix Remix) 03 Stay Out All Night (KUSP Remix)
Carl Cox, Commix, and KUSP remix Radio Slave’s ‘Stay Out All Night’
Initially released in 2020 via his own Rekids, ‘Stay Out All Night’ is one of Radio Slave’s biggest tracks to date, alongside timeless cuts such as ‘Grindhouse’, ‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’, and ‘Another Club’. Recruiting Carl Cox, Commix, and KUSP for remix duties, ‘Stay Out All Night (Remixes)’ sees three varied dancefloor-focused revisions drop this February on 12” vinyl and digitally.
Leading the pack, Carl Cox steps up to the plate fresh from the release of his ‘Oh yes, oh yes!’ book. The People’s Choice delivers a lively 4/4 interpretation, flipping the syncopated breaks of the original into a stomping blend of house and techno destined for dancefloor decimation.
Following on is Metalheadz affiliate Commix, taking a break from his usual brand of flawless Drum & Bass to flip the original into a fresh UK Garage cut. Closing the release is Rekids’ alumni KUSP, bringing warped basslines, additional percussion, and heavy drops to their remix.
Artist: Joton Title: A Wicked Plot EP Label: Symbolism Cat. #: SYMDIGI016 Format: Digital Release Date: 25th February 2022 Tracklist: 01 Foreign Bodies 02 5 Hours to the Bombardment 03 A Wicked Plot 04 All Tomorrow’s Parties
Spain’s Joton returns to Ben Sims’ Symbolism in late February with his ‘A Wicked Plot’ EP.
Comprising four tracks from the Leon-based producer and head honcho of New Rhythmic Records, ‘A Wicked Plot’ kicks off with the thundering ‘Foreign Bodies’, a track that utilises vast reverb-driven atmospheres as a backdrop to razor-sharp percussion and detuned synth licks.
The rolling gait of ‘5 Hours to Bombardment’ follows with cascading rhythms and swing counterpointed with weird, ethereal melody halfway through its journey. At the same time, the intensity increases with ‘A Wicked Plot’, a track fuelled by tight loops and bold, undulating leads.
Closing out with the densely packed and uncompromisingly potent ‘All Tomorrow’s Parties’, ‘A Wicked Plot’ is an EP that aptly displays that harsher sounds and groove need not be separated.

After appearances on sister-label, Symbolism, Italy’s Elisa Bee drops her debut Hardgroove release this February with ‘Send Me a Vision EP’.

Sandwiched between, we’re treated to raw, percussive techno at its finest in ‘Send Me A Vision’ and the acid-infused ‘Tell Me More’.

Artist: NEPZ Title: Berber EP Label: Motech Records Cat. #: MT150 Format: Digital Release Date: 4 March 2022 Tracklist: 01. Najawa 02. Gargn Ya 03. Morocco Do Brasil 04. Layala
Opening Motech Records’ 2022 schedule and marking the formative Detroit label’s 150th release is the ‘Berber EP’ by NEPZ (a.k.a. Gerome Sportelli). The EP originally appeared as a vinyl-only release on James Pennington and Sierra Sam’s short-lived label, Dark Print in 2004. Now some 18 years later it will be available digitally for the very first time.
Gerome Sportelli’s NEPZ moniker came about in the 2000s after a trip to Egypt where he discovered local music with percs and voices running at 160bpm, and had a flash… “this Egyptian stuff was techno!” So on his return he decided to sample this traditional berber music and the ‘Berber EP’ was born.
Over in Detroit, Motech’s founder, DJ 3000 heard the EP and it became a frequent go-to in his record box at a time when he was fusing his own Albanian ethnic background into his music. It was the perfect accompaniment.
Now, finally available for digital download and streaming, the ‘Berber EP’ by NEPZ comes to Motech Records from March 4th.
