A Day of music on 28th May, dedicated to charity in order to assist the Ukrainian population

A day of great music, with dj sets and live shows by international artists, and then workshop, events, meetings, with UNICEF and Joseph Capriati. The worldwide famous dj and producer is always on the lineups of the the best clubs and the most important festivals of the whole planet. From Miami to Ibiza and Europe, to South America and Australia, he has played in more than 75 countries all over the globe. The Italian artist, who can boast stunning performances in events such as Ultra Music Festival, Awakenings, Kappa FuturFestival, as well as clubs like Printworks, Cocoricò and Amnesia Ibiza, will be the host and the ambassador of the event, together with other international artists and personalities from the world of entertainment. An unprecedented event for the city of Naples and for the whole Italian club scene, a huge stadium concert where the stars will be the djs and electronic music performers, who will turn the stadium into a massive club, with music, visuals and effects at the height of the best international festivals.

Joseph Capriati and UNCEF have chosen Naples, its warmth and the embrace of its stadium, the legendary Diego Armando Maradona, for a day of music dedicated to charity and to assist the Ukrainian population and aid the over 7.5 million children risking their lives on the Ukrainian soil, to the many of them who are crossing the humanitarian corridor on the borders of the country, supplying on site support and making the arrival of trucks of food, water and first aid kits. possible. A huge fund-raising will be arranged for the event and the proceeds will go to UNICEF and to the other voluntary associations involved.

There is barely a sound that Boblebad cannot do. He is a talented producer and musician who plays trombone in a big jazz band as well as with an Afrobeat collective and has released on Eskimo, Full Pupp, Paper Recordings and Aquavit Beat as well as this label before now. He can craft weird jazz, deepest house, cosmic disco and freaky funk in the studio and all of that and more should be expected from the upcoming album.

But first comes ‘Syrebad,’ which is a truly unique production and a fine showcase of Boblebad’s left-of-centre style. It’s an uptempo house groove laced with ripples of soft acid. Cosmic synths and tripped-out stabs all bring plenty of colour as this heartfelt but high-impact club track continually raises the pressure.

‘Syrebad’ is another standout single from a forthcoming album that is sure to delight.

Hi-octane piano vibes are served up on title track ‘Quad’, as the roots of Chicago house are served up on this frenetic and funky cut. ‘Instinct’ sets up a smooth and seductive vocal driven groover, whilst ‘Love 2 C’ pumps hard as chic guitar licks and choppy vox lift this jackin’ track superbly.

Marseille’s Elyas drops four-track techno EP ‘Homecoming’ on his Seclusion label.

Previously appearing on Modularz, Olympian, and Soma, France’s Elyas has been pushing quality techno for close to a decade, having played at prestigious venues such as Tresor, Berghain, Corsica Studios, amongst others. For his latest effort, ‘Homecoming’ for his Seclusion imprint, Elyas prepares four stomping techno weapons tinged with psychedelic atmospherics.

Leading the release, ‘Azimuth inverted’ sees tripped out basslines and sharp percussion meeting warped FX for a driving opener, before the title track ‘Homecoming’ follows with emotive pads and sliced up vocal samples under pounding kick drums. ‘Anxiety’ brings hypnotic, rolling low end together with oscillating synths, before the final cut ‘Transmutation’ closes the EP with an ever-evolving, dense techno jam.

South Africa’s Deano debuts on Hardgroove with a Mark Broom Remix.

Comprising five originals and a remix from techno legend Mark Broom, ‘Paleo’ finds DJ/producer and Knowledge label boss Deano in meaty form. Urgent, powerful and funky techno is on the menu from the off, with ‘Epoch’, ‘Venus of Tan-Tan’ and ‘Terra Amata’ all showing a deft touch when it comes to teasing rock-solid grooves into peak time monoliths. The second half of ‘Paleo’ is ‘The Oldowan’, a grinding cut that unfurls into a masterclass in using repetition to hammer a dancefloor. Blueprint welcomes Token’s Kr!z to the label with his second ever solo EP.

Kr!z, hailing from Ghent (Belgium) has always had a strong empathy for the gloomier, dark, raw sound of techno with artists like Jeff Mills, Surgeon and James Ruskin playing a major influence in the 90’s, helping him to define his musical taste and develop his own identity in the Techno scene. As a respected and established figure in Belgium for almost two decades, his DJ schedule takes him all over the world. In 2007 he launched his own label, Token, which he’s rapidly established as a firm fixture with its timeless and powerful sound.

In 2019 he released his debut solo EP ‘Mantra’ on Token, and with James Ruskin being a big supporter we now come full circle with the release of his ‘Neutrino EP’ on Ruskin’s own Blueprint.
