Markus Suckut returns on his own label Odd Even with ‘Blurred Memories I’, that’s a straight EP to be published on vinyl too, with four solid techno tools pressed. ‘Eyes’ and ‘Tube’, the two songs respectively pressed on the A side, reveal a heavy warehouse influenced style, while the other two productions on the flip allow some space for introspection and mentalism, there the artist played more with synth loops, in order to get an enchanting effect.

Loom Festival is a brand new open-air celebration of techno with a big sound but an intimate feel. It takes place at the historic Museumspark Rüdersdorf on September 25th with 12 hours of non-stop world-class sounds from Nastia, Thomas Schumacher, Julian Jeweil, Alex Stein, Victor Ruiz, Wehbba LIVE, Anna Reusch and Transcode.

Loom Festival has been inspired by the European festivals where star-studded techno line-ups meet in the most unusual locations surrounded by nature. They are famous for their mind-blowing production and unforgettable musical experiences and Loom is set to make the same sort of indelible impact this Autumn.

It goes down at the historic Museumspark Rüdersdorf, a vast park with a rich industrial history and a dream location for open-air events. Surrounded by lakes, canals and greenery, this idyllic location just outside the city will be transformed and mix raw and industrial vibes while being in the midst of nature. The party is located next to a Shaft Furnace built in 1871 so has a unique backdrop.

The Hydra has been at the beating heart of underground house and techno since its inception in 2012, proudly showcasing seminal figures alongside exciting rising talent.

For their Drumsheds mini-series, The Hydra pays homage to each genre, with two carefully curated programmes that put the spotlight on collaborative sets. Always striving to offer something special and unique to their community, The Hydra’s exploration into one of electronic music’s most playful formats is sure to provide plenty of surprises, unbeatable energy and dancefloor sessions that will live long in the memory for those in attendance as many of the artist play together for the first time.

November’s show, dubbed ‘To Be’ offers a dancefloor-focused journey through techno’s many textures. One of the most venerated artists in electronic music, Jeff Mills will be the only act to perform solo, with The Drumsheds’ industrial aesthetics providing the perfect backdrop as The Wizard weaves his magic.

Topping the back-to-back schedule, techno titans Nina Kraviz and Paula Temple will go head-to-head for a high-octane set of pounding beats from two of the industry’s most in-demand artists. Making for one of the most interesting pairings of the series, electro-tinged Modeselektor will go back-to-back with the dynamic and dexterous stylings of Special Request, and showcasing some of the most heavily backed rising talent, TYGAPAW will exchange sonic blows with Physical Therapy and Tailor Jae joins forces with Yung Singh.

The Hydra’s December edition; ‘Not To Be’, invites house music fans for an epic day of music. Ibiza Holidays Donated to NHS Healthcare Workers

Together for Healthcare Heroes [short: T4HH], the charitable initiative set up on the Balearic Island of Ibiza, is set to reward NHS medical workers who have selflessly helped hundreds of thousands during the Covid-19 pandemic with a free stay on the White Isle at the end of the summer.

The British nation’s beloved healthcare institution celebrated its 73rd birthday in July and in further good news it has been confirmed that 50 NHS workers from Hospitals such as Birmingham and Royal Oldham Hospital in Manchester will be able to enjoy a much-deserved break on Ibiza.

12 months on from its official launch, the T4HH campaign has successfully secured 140 luxury accommodation options generously donated by hotel and villa owners. In total, these equate to 6,800 complimentary nights in the popular destinations across Europe and the Middle East in luxury locations like Ibiza and Dubai valued at over €1 million.

Healthcare Heroes will arrive in Ibiza at the end of the summer 2021. Approximately 400 guests in total will be able to enjoy a free stay on Ibiza over the course of the campaign, as well as other European and Middle Eastern destinations.

T4HH now calls for support from the public in rewarding our Healthcare Heroes for their incredible efforts on the Covid-19 frontline by helping to raise funds for flights and insurance. A crowdfunding campaign has been set up through Raisely to help cover these costs for the beneficiaries.

Healthcare Heroes will be chosen from the UK, Spain, France, Austria, Germany and Italy, with approximately 500 guests travelling over this period.

Organisers behind The North of England’s new city centre “super club’, The Lofts, have today confirmed a string of new dates and late summer shows featuring some of the world’s most celebrated and hottest DJs.Following the 1500 capacity venue’s launch event on Friday August 27^th – featuring Pete Tong and Horse Meat Disco – The Lofts will now welcome Danny Howard (28^th August), Louie Vega with Eli Escobar (3^rd September), Mark Knight (10^th September), Todd Terry and Melon Bomb (10^th September), SKREAM (17^th September) and Franky Wah (24^th September) through its doors as part of its mission to continue to build the buzz within Newcastle’s nightlife scene.

Based in Newcastle upon Tyne – the new 1500 capacity ‘super-club’ features 3 separate rooms including a ground breaking sound system from L-Acoustic and a state-of-the-art, fully immersive light and visual show.

Taking place on Saturday 28th August, The Lofts will present an electric night of house with Danny Howard, DJ Spen, Frankie Foncett, Mighty Mouse and Ricky Morrison.

Danny Howard is a celebrated British dance music DJ, producer, and radio presenter, best known for presenting BBC Radio 1’s Dance Anthems with Danny Howard.

Howard is viewed by many as the heir to the dance music throne and his energy and impeccable tune selection will make for a special night come late August.

Luis Ferdinand Vega Jr., better known as “Little Louie” Vega, is an American DJ, record producer and Grammy Award winner remixer of Puerto Rican ancestry. He is one half of the Masters at Work musical production team and is an all round musical legend.

Next to perform is Grammy Award nominated Producer & DJ Todd Terry who is one of the artists who helped to define New York’s dance and house music scene. Terry will be supported by Melon Bomb – a house and disco collective of four DJs from Ibiza who have become symonymous for making parties and will bring a touch of the Island to Newcastle with their inimitable style of music.

Café Mambo Announce DJ Competition In Collaboration With Absolut

Ibiza’s iconic sunset venue Café Mambo has announced details of a new competition for aspiring DJs, commencing on 4th August in partnership with Absolut.

In what promises to be the ultimate Ibiza experience, the competition is offering one lucky winner the chance to play a sunset set at the idyllic nightspot this September, as well as flights to the White Isle, up to three nights accommodation, airport transfers and access to the facilities at the Las Mimosas Boutique Hotel & Spa with a friend.

There will also be a masterclass with one of the Café Mambo resident DJs, while the winner’s set will be livestreamed online. To enter, participants must upload a 30-minute mix to Mixcloud and tag #CafeMamboAbsolutDJCompetition. The competition is open now and will run until 31st August. The official winner will be announced on 15th September.

Café Mambo recently launched its long-awaited summer 2021 season, already hosting performances from the likes of MK, Sam Divine, Afrojack and the Dunmore Brothers, with the brand also set to tour the UK in the coming months.

Mix Guideline:
● Upload a 30 minute set to Mixcloud
● Title the mix Café Mambo x Absolut DJ Competition
● Tag your mix #CafeMamboAbsolutDJCompetition. If you fail to tag it correctly, your mix may be missed.

Judging:
● Entrants will be judged by Café Mambo’s resident DJs including Jason Bye, Andy Baxter, Danny O, Sara de Araújo.
● Factors taken into consideration will include: number of plays, positive feedback, originality, suitability for a sunset set, track selection, artists ability to use Mixcloud and other social media platforms to promote themselves.
● Mixes must gain over 50 plays to be considered for the shortlist.
● The final decision will be made by Café Mambo, their resident DJs and Mixcloud.
