Meet Music: online i video dei tavoli dell’edizione 2021 e MINI Meets Music Contest continua fino al 30 settembre

L’edizione 2021 di Meet Music è andata scena in diretta Facebook dal Teatro Fonderia Leopolda di Follonica (GR) il 7 e l’8 settembre scorsi. “Emozioni ed energia le abbiamo sentite forti comunque, anche attraverso i social”, racconta Luca Guerrieri, il creatore di Meet Music, reduce con Lorenzo Tiezzi da oltre 17 ore di diretta online in due giorni. “E’ stato faticoso, ma pian piano, negli anni, abbiamo imparato come lasciare spazio ai vari ospiti e a farli interagire con chi è davanti al PC o al telefonino. Il consiglio di guardarsi o riguardarsi gli interventi più vicini ai propri interessi. C’è tanto da imparare, anche per noi che il Meet Music lo organizziamo, anche quest’anno grazie al supporto di MINI Italia, Comune di Follonica, Cantiere Cultura, Pequod Acoustics e DeOrb”.

Se l’evento si è concluso e i cinque migliori demo tra quelli ricevuti per la Meet Music Talent Selection sono già stati inviati a diverse label che li stanno valutando, MINI Meets Music Contest va invece avanti: il termine per inviare il proprio video selfie via WhatsApp al +393713340362 è infatti il 30 settembre 2021. Sul sito ufficiale di Meet Music (https://www.meetmusic.it/contest/) sono disponibili le 5 domande a cui rispondere e tutto il regolamento del Contest.

“Non siamo un talent show musicale e non ci è mai interessato diventarlo. Per questo abbiamo optato per farci incuriosire dai video e dal potenziale di questi talenti”, continua Luca Guerrieri. “Alcuni dei video ricevuti ci hanno già colpito, ma i giochi sono ancora aperti”.

Per l’edizione 2021 Meet Music cerca infatti due giovani talenti musicali tra i 18 ed i 25 anni, non solo due frontman. In particolare, la figure sono un producer ed una songwriter. Al producer vincitore verrà offerto un corso base presso Mat Academy. Alla Songwriter invece verrà regalato un corso di perfezionamento in tecnica di canto. Entrambi i vincitori potranno poi realizzare una produzione discografica presso la struttura di Studio1, con la successiva pubblicazione della traccia realizzata su una delle etichette legate al Meet Music.

A proposito di video, quelli di Meet Music 2021 sono già disponibili sulla pagina Facebook di Meet Music (https://www.facebook.com/meetmusic.it), per tutti coloro che sono interessati ma non sono riusciti a vedere ‘live’ gli interventi di artisti come Saturnino con il giornalista Damir Ivic o il tavolo online di professionisti del settore come Matteo Fedeli (direttore SIAE sezione Musica), a confronto con lo storico editore Pierangelo Mauri e Renato Tanchis (Sony Music).

Si parlato anche di economia della musica, perché non si vive di sola arte: durante il tavolo online intitolato “Esiste ancora l’underground”, Luciano Chirico (titolare della label Full Heads e manager di Anastasio) ha parlato della grande importanza dei brand, anche per un artista in bilico tra indie e pop. Si è poi parlato di sponsor e dei valori che ad essi interessano anche nel tavolo chiamato “Qual è il futuro degli eventi?”, uno dei più difficili, visto che attualmente concerti in piedi e discoteche in Italia sono fermi quasi del tutto. Luca Seminerio di Musa Agency ha sottolineato come non contino solo grandi numeri e divertimento.

The much anticipated new edition of MOGA Festival will feature world-class DJs Behrouz, Birds Of Mind, Cc:Disco!, Daox, DJ Tennis, Gusta-vo, Gescu B2B Maher Daniel, Matthew Dekay, Mr. Id and more from the 6th to the 10th of October 2021. This year it takes place in Costa da Caparica, Portugal rather than the usual location of Essaouira, but still allows all dreamers and dancers to be reunited under another Atlantic skyline with endless wellness and music to make for an immersive experience.

Since its creation in Essaouira in 2016, the spirit of MOGA Festival has been deeply inked by nomadism, curiosity, and discoveries. As a matter of fact, Essaouira was once named Mogador by the Portuguese and as a reminder of this ancient history, Morocco and Portugal decided that the cities of Essaouira and Caparica in Almada would become sister-lands. It was obvious that this year that connection had to be explored.

Marked by old traditional villages, endless sand beaches, incredible sunsets and seagulls watching the return of the fishermen, Caparica feels like a home away from home for MOGA and so will make a very special location for this year’s 4th edition.

Over the past years, MOGA Festival has united people from all over the world and backgrounds into a community – self-proclaimed the #mogatribe. Wellness is genuinely central to the festival’s identity and so this year again the boutique event will focus on the union of body and soul, designing an à la carte experience that is a fusion of electronic music and a myriad of extra goings-on. These include three special beach parties, yoga events, surfing, biking, hiking, food, talks, free events and many more surprises to come.

The festival will take place in various locations along the waterfront with venues and full line-up to be announced soon. The first wave includes Behrouz, Birds Of Mind, Cc:Disco!, Daox, DJ Tennis, Gusta-vo, Gescu B2B Maher Daniel, Matthew Dekay, Mr. Id and more

Labyrinth’s second show at Tofte Manor

Innervisions’ kingpins Dixon and Âme return to the UK for their first b2b in the country since 2019. A duo whose work through the Innervisions record label, their productions and their DJ sets, have played a pivotal role in defining the house music scene we know today.

The pair are well known for pushing boundaries, performing at unique offsite locations – turning the Royal Albert Hall into a nightclub for example. On 18th September, they will bring their unique creativity to the spiritual sanctuary of Tofte Manor. There could not be a more fitting headline act to return to the venue.

The groundbreaking Ninja Tune label plays a key role in this billing with the star ridden TSHA and Sofia Kourtesis on the bill. TSHA’s Flowers EP saw global accolades last winter and Sofia Kourtesis’ debut Fresia Magdalena EP recently released on Ninja’s Technicolor saw a 7.5/10 review with Pitchfork.

Correspondent boss Jennifer Cardini brings her unique style that fuses techno, electro and disco to the labyrinth stage. A true tastemaker, who’s held residencies at Rex Club and Berghain’s Panorama bar. Her charisma is infectious and her DJ sets nothing short of exquisite.

Innervisions favourites Trikk and Jimi Jules join the labyrinth stage and bring their unique style of enchanting deep house music that Innervisions has become so well regarded for. Rumour has it Trikk has a new album coming out on Innervisions this year.

Terr who’s seen releases on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy, Permanent Vacation, Correspondant and more brings her hard hitting sound that blends techno, electro, and house. Hailing from Antwerp, Lola Haro is one to watch and was awarded “Most promising artist of 2019” by Redbull. She holds a residency at Paradise City Festival.

Alex Medina, who featured on Dixon’s Transmoderna complication and has recently released on Labyrinth Records, joins the show from the Canary Islands.

Labyrinth’s curator and resident DJ Nick Castle also features.

Pole Folder, Aethon and Jinadu opt to introduce a vocal too, a frontal aspect that greatly contributes to increase the music potential: Even if the original seems unbeatable Armonica and Fur Coat accept the challenge to give their contribute with two remixes.
