The Legendary London music promoter THE HYDRA will make a heavy debut at The Drumsheds across two massive shows ‘TO BE / NOT TO BE’ this November and December exploring the concept of collaborative DJ sets. After the recent sell-out of the NOT TO BE show, the final tickets for TO BE featuring Nina Kraviz & Paula Temple, Jeff Mills, Ben Klock & Marcel Dettmann, Modeselektor & Special Request, Eris Drew & Russell E.L. Butler, and more are on the final release via RA for £39.50 and booking fee. NOT TO BE tickets have already sold out.

Across the two dates, The Hydra team have selected some of their favourite artists to play in unison, from Nina Kraviz & Paula Temple to Ben Klock & Marcel Dettmann for the first TO BE on 28.21, then Four Tet b2b Floating Points, Carl Craig b2b Moodymann and Joy Orbison b2b Mount Kimbie for NOT TO BE on 18.12, plus many more acts taking the collective reins for sets. These special sets will explore the unique energy of a collaborative DJ set between two selectors, pushing sound, music sharing, and joining together to celebrate music from the electronic world.

For each show, there are over 20 more names set to explore the depths and corners, from angular leftfield selections to house, techno, breaks, and beats, all set in the industrial setting of The Drumsheds. The Drumshed’s groundbreaking ex-factory space will provide an ideal background for underground explorations.

Five years ago the UK’s first ‘all night bender’ after-hours party Trade celebrated its 25th Anniversary with its much talked about club culture exhibition, ‘Often Copied, Never Equalled’, Featuring iconic memorabilia from across the years, Trade broke the mould as the first mixed gay super club introducing Techno music to UK.

To cap thing off,  legendary club TRADE (who undisputedly changed the rules of clubbing) then threw the mother of all celebrations across 24 hours. With a huge cast of DJs, performers, lasers, backdrops and more,  its incredible crowd didn’t want to leave Egg LDN’s various dance floors and terraces!

Trade has always been a melting pot for it’s crowd and it’s music. I can’t wait to welcome back our Trade family and introduce new audiences to our journey through sound ”  – Laurence Malice  

Since then the world has changed irrevocably as we continue to live in the pandemic age. Needed now more than ever is a safe space for everyone that’s inclusive and also a space that champions the ever-evolving sounds of underground clubbing. With a huge demand from its loyal following, Trade is ready to serve up a unique slice of clubbing in the capital when it throws a massive 30th Anniversary celebration in February 2022.

It’s diverse and international crowd can look forward to a hugely mesmerising night with music supplied by the Trade Resident DJs and some Very Special International Guests playing the iconic Trade sound that is currently enjoyed in cutting edge venues today, underpinned by fresh and iconic production all fired up on their legendary sound system. Bringing everyone together for what promises to be one of 2022’s biggest dates in the clubbing calendar.

After two years away due to the pandemic, July 3rd to 7th 2022 will see Hideout Festival pull out all the stops to serve up a long-awaited 10th edition of the festival like no other. 12 years after kick-starting the clubbing revolution that has since unfolded on the gorgeous beaches of Croatia, Hideout continues to lead from the front with five fantastic stages of diverse music from first wave headliners Camelphat, Sonny Fodera, Andy C, Jamie Jones, Jayda G, Eats Everything, Skream, Sam Divine, HAAi, Horse Meat Disco, Sherelle, Shy FX, TSHA, Bad Boy Chiller Crew and loads more. The italian music panorama sometimes reveals artist and label niches hidden and hard to find, that’s the case of this bizzarre composition signed by Serpe Terror, available on both digital and music cassette formats. Punk, hardcore/gabber, industrial, lo-fi: that’s the sound mix which our hears will have to deal with during the listening of ‘Linea Brucia’. The music has an aggressive and redundant behaviour (the kickdrum is always the same), also because the threatening voice of the lead singer (the lyrics are only in Italian), denoting a harsh daily life aimed to payback and rebellion, blending everyday problems with the neverending clichè against institutions.
