Eko Centrik ‘Perihelion’

Artist: Eko Centrik
Title: Perihelion
Label: Another Life Music
Cat. #: ALM124
Format: Digital
Release Date: March 4th, 2022
Tracklist:
Perihelion (Original Mix)
Out Of The Blue (Original Mix)
Shadow Glass (Original Mix)

We don’t know so much about Eko Centrik but anyway we are pleased to have put our hands on this release titled ‘Perihelion’. It features a well-made style, which includes a contemporary approach to the sounds and a diverse way to interpet progressive house. The title track is the key song of the EP, the other two are not least but this one represents as its best the artist’s intention to express emotions and the personal view of electronic music.

Kevin & Perry Celebrate 20 Years at Amnesia Ibiza

Tickets: https://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/night/promoters/kevin-perry-go-large-20-year-anniversary

In 2000 a teen film was released which has since gone on to earn cult status amongst clubbers across the Globe largely for its soundtrack, humour, performances from Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke and its references to Ibiza’s rave culture.

It’s hard to believe that over two decades (and a pandemic!) have flown by so how better to celebrate Kevin & Perry’s 20th anniversary than to go back to where it all happened, Amnesia Ibiza.

Dancing and music are now back and 100% legal again in Ibiza so this certainly  calls for a double-celebration. Join us on Monday June 6th and on Tuesday 27th September 2022 as we finally return to where the cult movie was filmed 20 years ago.

The pandemic sadly disrupted the initial celebration plans but Kevin & Perry are  springing back bigger and better as they are set to host BOTH the Discotheque and Terrace arenas at Amnesia, Ibiza.

Performing in the famous Discotheque will be the DJ that originally played during the actual filming, Seb Fontaine, the curator of the iconic soundtrack, Judge Jules and “Follow Me” track producer and DJ, Lange.

The supercharged Amnesia terrace will be hosted by Ben Nicky’s Emotional Havoc and Paul Taylor’s Retro parties!

Expect a crowd packed full of Trance & classic lovers, old school Ibiza faces and a vibe pulled straight from the 90’s/early 00’s with lasers, strobes and smoke machines!

Judge Jules – “What’s astonished me about Kevin and Perry is that its appeal spans the generations. Each track from its soundtrack is familiar to everyone between the ages of 13 and 50. Having been involved in the movie’s soundtrack, and having been in Ibiza when it was filmed 20 years ago, I could never have imagined that K&P would have such enduring musical and cultural significance. There have been a number of films covering Ibiza club culture, but none has come close to Kevin and Perry, in terms of its everlasting popularity. Going back to where it all started for the 20th Anniversary in Amnesia will be a special occasion indeed.”

Seb Fontaine – “Every time I watch it gives me goose-bumps. Working with them on the club scenes was fantastic and it was actually me djing with Kevin and Perry on fake decks. One of those nights you just never forget and I can’t wait for the 20th Anniversary celebrations back at Amnesia Ibiza this summer.”

Mundos Sutis is a duo deeply connected to Seven Villas Music, in fact all their releases have been published on the Pablo Bolivar’s label. In these days their album ‘Quintessence’ will see the light, showing off the beauty of this immersive deep techno style. All the tracks shine ethereal vibrations, plunging the entire composition into a mystifying dimension: that’s mostly because the large usage of smooth drums and delicious pad sounds. Aside the capability to embrace the listener during all the playback, the album title totally reflects the kind of sound proposed by the two young artists.

Cat. #: SF058
Release Date: 18th February 2022
Tracklist:
1) All This Love

Superfett Records is on fire and is going to publish interesting and club oriented releases. The next one is a small two tracker coming directly from the minds of Nic Joseph, Botez and Mizbee. Mizbee provided some nice vocals while the other two guys produced great and haunting instrumentals. Probably ‘Halfway’ is the winning song of the release, it has good a unique vibe which seems to be missing in most of the odiern tech house productions.

The first acts for Malta’s leading music festival AMP Lost & Found have been announced, with Camelphat, The Blessed Madonna, Scratchclart and more confirmed to join curator Annie Mac for the 2022 edition. After three years out, AMP Lost & Found is poised for its biggest and most ambitious edition to date.

Offering a melting pot of genres that reflects Annie’s role as a major UK tastemaker, esteemed house and techno DJs Heidi, Saoirse, Paul Woolford, DJ Q and Octo Octa are also set to appear, as well as jungle revivalist Special Request and fast-rising talents Yung Singh, TSHA, HAAi, SHERELLE and LCY. Completing the first wave announcement are breakthrough rap talent ENNY, multi-hyphenate Shygirl, BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Tiffany Calver, bass music favourite Chloé Robinson, ‘Tell Me Something Good’ breakout star Ewan McVicar, Rinse FM mainstay Jyoty, BBC Radio 1’s Sarah Story and Syreeta. Not stopping there, DJ EZ is also returning to Lost & Found, following his viral Factory set at a previous edition of the festival that blew the crowd away.

Returning after a Covid-induced hiatus, the sixth edition of the festival will take place in Malta from 1st-4th June, shifting from its usual dates at the beginning of May to run across the UK’s Jubilee Weekend, a time of year that sees average highs of 28 degrees on the island. It boasts four days and four nights of distinguished Lost & Found parties made up of exceptional stage productions and sound systems. With performances set to take place across grand historical sites and remarkable open-air venues on the stunning Mediterranean island, audiences can expect a unique castle rave, electrifying beach, boat, and pool parties, plus a world-class nighttime site.

Expressing her feelings about the festival’s return, Annie Mac shares, “I am beyond thrilled to have Lost & Found return for its sixth year and am so excited about the guests, both familiar and new to Lost & Found, who will be joining me for 4 days & nights of incredible party energy. There is always a special family vibe and sense of togetherness across the festival that I cannot wait to revive.”

Becoming something of an institution on the island, AMP Lost & Found is hugely responsible for Malta’s rise in popularity as a music destination and now signals the start of summer. Putting a real focus on good vibes with a community feel, the event has become much-loved by the artists who attend and provides lifelong memories for those looking for adventure, affordability and a top-notch soundtrack spanning the spectrum of electronic and grime & UK hip hop. Offering the chance to party beneath the stars and neon lights, the island experiences 300 days of Sun and is steeped in history too, with ancient temples, fossil-studded cliffs, hidden coves and many more experiences to discover.

Festival Partners, Choice Holidays, offer a very flexible payment option for festival accommodation. Guests can secure their accommodation for just £1 deposit upfront and the rest of the balance paid later on.

If guests book their Flight + Hotel package more than 14 weeks before departure, Choice Holidays also offers a low deposit option scheme so they can make multiple payments to secure their holiday on all destinations.

Per informazioni: +39 339 3433962, ufficiostampa@lorenzotiezzi.it.

//

Here we go with a detailed and profund album coming from Czech Republic. Alfred Czital who’s also co-founder of Harmony Rec. just released on the just mentioned label ‘Reality Check’. While listening to these productions you can admire the intensity and deepness reach by this kind of style: the tracks range from ambient and techno, as well passing through downtempo central themes. Ghetts, Skream, Sherelle, Calibre, Fabio & Grooverider and The Outlook Orchestra, 15 Years of Hessle Audio: Ben UFO, Pearson Sound, Pangaea, D Double E, Lenzman, Eva Lazarus, DJ Storm, Children Of Zeus, Chloe Robinson, Goldie, Channel One Sound System and more announced

Outlook Festival UK
30th June–3rd July 2022
Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire

Outlook Festival is undoubtedly one of the most recognised names in the worlds of underground music and sound system culture; and for almost 15 years they’ve united thousands of low-frequency fans from across the globe. In 2022 Outlook will host their very first UK edition, and present one of their most forward-thinking line-ups in Outlook history to mark the occasion. Ghetts, Goldie, Sherelle, Hessle Audio, Fabio & Grooverider and The Outlook Orchestra, Skream, Batu, The Zenker Brothers, Chloe Robinson, LCY, Children of Zeus, and over 120+ more artists are onboard between 30th June–3rd July. On top of that – some of the world’s most revered sound system crews join at Cholmondeley Castle, set to go head to head in clashes across the weekend, including Channel One Soundsystem, Iration Steppas Sound System, Jah Shaka Sound System, Jah Tubbys World System, Mungo’s Hifi, Sinai and more. Tickets for Outlook UK go on sale exclusively to those on the sign up list on Friday 4th, with general sale on Monday 7th from just £140 – register now at outlookfestival.com.

Highlighting the influence of sound system culture on UK music and community, there’ll be a serious agenda of talent from the worlds of drum & bass, dubstep, rap, grime, reggae, uk techno, RnB, soul, jungle and everything in between. On board for what promises to be an epic live performance are Fabio and Grooverider, who team up the Outlook Orchestra to deliver a history of jungle and drum & bass unlike you’ve heard before, curated by the godfathers of DnB. UK Rap icon Ghetts also joins, fresh from his third studio album Conflict of Interest which ranked no. 2 on the UK Albums chart, and featured guest appearances from Skepta, Dave, Wretch 32, Giggs, Stormzy, and more. Other live acts to catch include soulful duo Children of Zeus, grime godfather D Double E, Novelist, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Eva Lazarus and more TBA.

Skream makes a long-overdue return with a Skreamizm takeover. Hessle Audio returns to Outlook, marking their 15 years in the game with a stage takeover packed out with label friends and family. Also repping for the welcomed return of UK techno and electronic sounds to Outlook Festival are Ilian Tape and Timedance with their retrospective crews including Batu, Danielle, Stenny, the Zenker Brothers, Tasha and more.

A deep respect for sound system culture was the motive to start Outlook, and 2022’s UK edition pays homage to that with a series of Jamaican sound system clashes scheduled across the weekend featuring Channel One, Iration Steppas, Jah Shaka, Jah Tubbys World System and Mungo’s Hi FI in the Subdub Arena as well as additional sound from Sinai. The energy is guaranteed to be unparalleled as these mighty groups battle it out with hosts of MC’s and full squads in tow. Hot Wuk are also in attendance with an army of dancers and a bag of carnival sounds; dancehall, reggae, dembow to start.

For the drum & bass and jungle fans, there are plenty of serious names involved including a Metalheadz label takeover featuring Goldie and a heap of label talent. On a soulful tip, there’s selections from Calibre, Lenzman, LTJ Bukem, and DRS (live), while Bristol’s Sofa Sounds represent with friends Breakage, DLR, Fox, Kyrist, Skeptical and more. On a jungle tip Rupture will be celebrating 15 years with Sherelle, Mantra, DJinn, Sully, and more in tow, while EQ50 and Dynamics represent rising talent, there’ll be healthy doses of 140 from the usual suspects; Mala’s Deep Medi crew (TBC); Commodo, Silkie, Somah, Sicaria Sound, and more, SGT Pokes Croydub with a heavyweight b2b session featuring Youngsta, CImm, J Oh Zee, Oneman, Trends and more, Om Unit, J Sparrow and many others also provide doses of bass weight.

Outlook’s very first UK edition will take place 30th June–3rd July 2022 at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire. As well as the quality crews, collectives, artists, MCs, singers, rappers, labels, there’ll be a hyper-focus on audio, with only the highest spec sound systems in place to soundtrack the weekend. There will be an additional focus on presenting talks, workshops, film, and panels that deep dive into education as well as the roots of the culture. Accommodation options on site will vary, but there will be camping available on site. For more information, head to the Outlook Festival website.

One Out Festival Surrey announce first phase 2022 line up

After an incredible sell out first edition in 2021, Surrey’s best new festival returns for 2022 with a bigger line-up, bigger capacity and additional stages

On Saturday 18th June 2022, One Out Festival will build on the sell out success of its debut edition with an increased capacity and two extra stages of music at Surrey’s lush Apps Court Farm. The first phase line-up for the festival’s return includes headliners Eats Everything and Skream alongside Dusky, Melé, Chloé Robinson, Arielle Free and The Menendez Brothers, with many more names still to be announced. For the best group, single or VIP ticket deals, head to https://www.oneout.co.uk/book-now before they sell out.

One of the stars of the debut event was the location. Hidden in the bends of the meandering Thames River is Apps Court Farm in the heart of Surrey. It’s a beautifully naturalistic setting that is ripe for exploration with its hidden lakes, lush ancient woodlands and rolling hills, all just 35 minutes from London. This year there will be four carefully curated and expertly designed stages with a focus on diversity of music and crowd.

The whole festival is brought to life by a team of proper music lovers who care about the details as much as you. This means you can expect next level stage designs with plenty of high tech extras, as well as production, light, visuals and sound systems to ensure a rich, immersive experience like no other. Although One Out is a day festival, this year camping will be available for those of who want to avoid rushing away from the site at the end of the event.

The first headliner is Bristol’s much loved Eats Everything, the Edible label boss, Radio 1 regular and a dexterous DJ known for his multi-genre sets. Skream is a fellow raver who knows how to light up any crowd with his mix of bass, techno, house and explosive grooves. Joining them will be the cream of the house and tech world, with festival favourites Dusky, house selector Melé, crossover queen Chloé Robinson, rising star Arielle Free and party starters The Menendez Brothers all performing across the festival with over 20 artists still to be announced.

One Out Festival is set to be a beautiful British countryside escape that offers even more music than last year. Move quickly to secure your tickets.
