August Artier gets released again on Kindisch with ‘Teenage Dreams EP’, proposing a style that recalls the Romanian wave of tech house and minimal of a few years ago.
The monotonous loops are concealed with conservative percussive/hihat patterns and small chord lines put there and there: the final result is fascinating, enveloping and dreamy. Sometimes tribal or contemporary influences inflate a little bit the songs appeal, elevating their potential and the dancefloor oriented attitude.

Purple Pill meets HRRSN for the creation of ‘Just A Little’, that’s a nice production that arouses an emotive vibe thanks to its tight instrumental and the great vocal. The lyrics are well made, maybe the voice timbre reminds to some Depeche Mode productions, in any case the original mix reaches a great peak before and after the drop, there the producer has been able to condensate well the various souds, expecially the synths, with the melody suggested by the vocal.
Adriam Roman and Brlee show up in the EP with their remixes, adding an alternative vision of the original theme. The package is completed with a beautiful edit under the ‘Sunrise Mix’ name, there the kickdrum is stronger and there is tribal drum loop that affects the original theme, also the main melody is lead by some kind of percussion instead the traditional synth module.

Mobilee has been the home for the french artist for a long time, that’s really appreciable and show us the importance of label families, a thing that is fading down in the last years.

Listening to the compilation make us conscious about the techno music excursus from 1999 to 2020, during the ages many influences affected this relevant genre like minimal, hard trance, industrial and so on. It would be too long to mention all the contaminations detected in each of the 20 tracks, but we can say that seeing again names like The Advent & Industrializer, Joey Beltram, Tom Hades, Speedy J and Steve Rachmad bring us back to some great productions listened in the past.
