After 20 years of true dedication in the electronic music scene, Phonica Records celebrates another anniversary with a dedicated release.
Firstly it was just a record shop founded by Simon Rigg, Tom Relleen and Heidi Van Den Amstel, who gained experience from The Vinyl Factory. A few years later the label project was born: Hector & Bryant’s ‘Tension’ was the first two tracker released. During the years the brand established strong connections worldwide, obviously releasing some great EPs and launching some sub-labels such as Phonica White and Phonica Records Special Editions.
The compilation features a set of brand new tracks, made by the label’s friends and favorite producers, also it displays a selection of some of the best ever tracks released, representing the past and deserving some attention to the back catalogue from 2013 till today. The whole composition puts under the spotlight as overall genuine and oldschool inspired house/techno themes, reflecting the founder’ intentions to make alive the label’s vibe, while refreshing it and making some space for experimentations to non ‘four to the floor’ rhythm patterns.
